Beijing 2025
Why isn't anyone talking about Beijing?! Every time when I hear about people visiting China, it's always Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shanghai or ChongQing. I'm telling you right now that Beijing is one of the best places I've visited, hands down!

Day 1: The Summer Palace – Most Beautiful Place on Earth
It’s mind-blowing how stunning the Summer Palace is. Located about 40 minutes northwest of central Beijing, this vast imperial garden was once the summer retreat of Empress Dowager Cixi and earlier Qing Dynasty emperors. Spanning lakes, pavilions, and temples, it’s a masterpiece of classical Chinese landscape design—and walking through it feels like stepping into a living painting.
Day 2: Universal Studios | Harry Potter's Wizarding World
Universal Studios Beijing completely blew us away—and the highlight? Without a doubt, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We rode the Forbidden Journey, sipped on Butterbeer, and even browsed through Ollivanders Wand Shop (yes, the wand chooses you). The queue lines were long, but the experience was worth every second. It truly felt like magic was real—even just for a day.
Day 3: Great Wall of China (MuTianYu)
Today, we checked off one of the most iconic wonders in the world—The Great Wall of China. We chose the Mutianyusection, located about 1.5 to 2 hours from Beijing, known for its scenic views and well-preserved watchtowers without the overwhelming tourist crowds of Badaling.
Day 4: Walking Through History at The Forbidden City
We stepped into the heart of ancient China—the Forbidden City, or Gu Gong (故宫). Once home to emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties, this sprawling palace complex is the largest in the world, with over 900 buildings and centuries of stories hidden behind its red walls.
Day 5: Old Beijing Citywalk – From Tiananmen to the Hutongs
Our final full day in Beijing by circling back to what we missed on Day 4—Tiananmen Square. Next, we made our way to Tiantan Park (Temple of Heaven) where emperors once prayed for good harvests. Finally, a peaceful citywalk through the old Hutongs.
