Sijiminfu Roasted Duck – Best Peking Duck in Beijing

We came to Beijing expecting to eat good duck. But Sijiminfu (四季民福) didn’t just deliver — it left us speechless. No exaggeration: we’re still thinking about the crisp skin, the melt-in-your-mouth fat, and the perfect balance of sweet sauce and cucumber crunch.

🦆 What Makes Sijiminfu So Good?

Sijiminfu isn’t some overpriced tourist trap. It’s a local favorite with high-quality duck roasted to perfection, carved right in front of you, and served with all the essentials — thin pancakes, leeks, cucumbers, sugar, and sweet bean sauce.

The skin? Crispy like glass. The meat? Tender and smoky. The vibe? Refined but still approachable.

We ordered a half duck, plus some side dishes, and it was more than enough for two people.

📍 Which Branch We Visited

There are several locations across Beijing, but we visited the one near Sanlitun —easy to get to by metro and surrounded by beautiful walking streets if you want to stroll after your meal.

You can also consider avoid peak hours like dinner time 6-8pm. We went there early at around 5pm, so there was literally no line infront. We were immediately sat at our table for 2 pax. After our meal, there were almost 40 tables in line!!
