We Spent an Entire Day at Everland 🇰🇷 — Is Korea’s Biggest Theme Park Worth the Trip?

By this point in our Korea trip, every day had somehow felt completely different.

One day we were wandering around Seoul.

The next, we were surrounded by trees at Nami Island.

Then we dressed up in hanbok and walked through a palace.

And today?

We were going to an amusement park. 😂

Our destination was Everland 爱宝乐园, the huge theme park in Yongin, outside central Seoul. Your vlog itself focuses on both the journey there and what the park is actually like once you arrive.

And this was definitely one of those days where we woke up knowing:

we probably weren't coming home early.

Getting From Seoul to Everland

The first thing you realise about visiting Everland is that…

it isn't really in Seoul.

You have to actually make your way out towards Yongin in Gyeonggi Province, so unlike attractions in Myeongdong or Hongdae, this isn't somewhere you casually squeeze into an afternoon.

There are several ways to reach Everland, including public transport and direct shuttle options from Seoul.

For us, getting there was part of the vlog too.

And honestly, I think that's useful because before visiting places like this, the attraction itself is rarely the confusing part.

You already know there are roller coasters.

You already know there will be food.

The actual question is:

How on earth do I get there? 😂

The Easy & Cost Effective Way To Everland.

We made our way to Sinnonhyeon Station, then transferred to the 5002 bus, which takes you directly to Everland.

The journey takes around 2 hours, and the fare is only about 2,600 KRW per person, one way.

The bus also uses dedicated bus lanes for part of the journey, so even though Everland is quite far from central Seoul, the ride is actually pretty straightforward.

For us, it was one of the cheapest and easiest ways to get there.

One important thing to keep in mind:

The 5002 bus generally operates from around 4AM to 11PM.

So if you plan to stay until the evening fireworks, I’d recommend heading straight to the bus stop once the show ends.

Don’t spend too long shopping, taking more photos or slowly walking around after the fireworks. 😂

It still takes some time to get from the park back to the bus stop, and missing the last bus would make getting back to Seoul much more troublesome.

Our advice:

Watch the fireworks → head straight to the bus stop → take the 5002 back into Seoul.

Simple, cheap and much less stressful.

And at only around 2,600 KRW each way, it’s honestly a very affordable way to visit Everland independently.
