Arrival in Suzhou & Hotel Check-In
We arrived in Suzhou the night before on the high-speed rail and checked into Man Ji Hotel (漫居酒店). Tucked near Guanqian Street and just a short walk from Leqiao Station, the location was perfect — convenient for both food and metro access.

Breakfast at SuYaXing Noodle Shop (苏亚兴面馆)
Our morning plan was originally to visit Suzhou Museum, but seeing the long queue, we made a last-minute decision to skip it and head straight to SuYaXing Noodle Shop instead.
It turned out to be the best choice — the Suzhou-style noodles and desserts were absolutely delicious, warm, and comforting. This place is a must-try if you want an authentic Suzhou breakfast.
Pingjiang Road (平江路)
From the museum area, we walked past Zhuozheng Yuan (Humble Administrator’s Garden) and entered the back entrance of Pingjiang Road. This historic water town street was so scenic — cobblestone paths, canals, stone bridges, and traditional teahouses.
The slower pace and quiet charm of Pingjiang made it one of our favorite experiences in Suzhou.
Shopping at Shizi Street (狮子街)
In the afternoon, we went for a little shopping session at Shizi Street, connected to Shiquan Street. We stopped by 向公子 (Mr. Xiang’s boutique) and picked up some outfits to prepare for Shanghai.
The area is full of stylish, modern shops mixed with traditional vibes — perfect if you want a blend of local design and fashion.

Evening at Qilishantang (七里山塘)
As the day came to an end, we headed to Qilishantang Street, one of Suzhou’s most famous ancient streets.
During the day, it’s scenic with canals and old houses — but the real magic happens at night. As the lights came on, the whole street transformed into a lively, colorful townscape, filled with people enjoying food, tea, and souvenirs.
Yes, it was crowded, but the atmosphere was buzzing and vibrant — a must-experience when in Suzhou.
Day 4 Wrap-Up
From a hearty noodle breakfast to peaceful Pingjiang Road, a bit of boutique shopping, and ending with the lively energy of Qilishantang at night — Day 4 in Suzhou gave us a perfect mix of culture, food, and lifestyle.
