About This 8D7N Jiangnan Trip

This route covers three popular destinations in eastern China:

Hangzhou — known for West Lake, nature, tea culture and slower scenic travel.

Suzhou — known for classical gardens, canals, old streets and traditional Jiangnan atmosphere.

Shanghai — known for city walks, shopping streets, cafés, architecture and modern city energy.

Together, these three cities make a very balanced China itinerary because you get a mix of nature, culture, food, shopping and city views without needing to travel too far between cities.

Why We Chose Hangzhou, Suzhou and Shanghai

This route works well because the cities connect naturally.

Hangzhou gives you the softer, scenic side of China. Suzhou gives you the traditional old-town Jiangnan feeling. Shanghai gives you the international city energy, modern cafés, shopping and beautiful architecture.

For first-time travelers who want something more relaxed than rushing across too many cities, this route is a good balance. You can still experience different sides of China without making the trip feel too exhausting.

Our 8D7N Route

Here’s the simple version of the route:

Hangzhou → Suzhou → Shanghai

This makes sense because you can start with a slower scenic city, move into a traditional cultural city, then end the trip with Shanghai’s shopping, food and city walks.
